A simulated computer fantasy/adventure game scene. From an original photo taken in 2007. Underlying script: The planet Xar is well known amongst members of the Confederation of Aljibran as possessing copious quantities of gold, which is sourced from ancient volcanic mountains. The planet has been under the protection of the Confederation for over 3.1 million years, ever since the invasion (and subsequent expulsion) of a rouge Reptilian race from the distant Kondrobonish star system who, it was later found, were trading the gold that they had pilfered with the Slif group from Sigma Prime. Ironically, the Xarians, and the rest of the Confederation for that matter, only have used gold for decorative purposes and as a common building material from time immemorial.. The inhabitants of Xar would never contemplate gold as a precious commodity or a source for monetary exchange.
