What a stunning, superbly balanced composition. The glowing golden-brown colors are most beautiful as is the light. Your art-photo also has a very timeless quality. It could be a doorway from Atlantis, Minoa, Troy or from any mythical ancient Empire which have long since being blown away by the relentless winds of time... :-)

Thank you, Hartmut. Chaco Canyon is a mysterious place. No one knows what these rooms were used for. They weren't living rooms. There's some indication that the entire complex was a ceremonial center.

Cross-compartment view of doorways at Chaco Canyon National Historical Park, Four Corners, New Mexico, USA. The Chaco Canyon ruins were built by the Anasazi indigenous people as early as the Sixth Century CE and as late as the Fifteenth Century.
